Sputter/Cutts out
Ok I know I should probably post in FE forums but I get more responses here. Problem I am having in truck sputter/cutts out when accelerating moderatly to hard from a stop feels like it loses fuel or spark not sure. It doesnt do it with light acceleration or once im up to speed. I have checked and double checked accelerater pump. It does it sometimes and then sometimes it seems to go away so its driving me crazy tracking it down. I have been leaning toward coil as i have noticed that after driving its so hot you cant even touch it for a second. Thanks in advance for any help.
The truck has 390 ported heads, comp268, edel rpm intake, holley 670 and msd ignition with duraspark distributor. I have timing set at 12* intial 36* total in by 3000 RPM with vacuum advance adding 12* degrees hooked to ported.
