Hello all, I am new to this site. I just purchased my first F150 on Monday and so far I like it a lot. I was wondering though what you people have found to be the best spark plugs to put in? I have the 5.0l V8. I also noticed today that there is a clunking noise coming from the rear when I first press the gas when at a complete stop and then you here it again after you come to a complete stop. Anybody else experience this? My ranger did the same thing and I never did figure out what it was. Thank you for your help.
as for plugs i use bosh
as for the clunk check the obdvious
leaf springs u bolts also the transmission crossmember rubber mount
fords are bad for those rubber mounts breaking
>For the best, and inexpensive bang for the buck, use either
>Motorcraft, or Autolite plugs in a Ford engine, NEVER use
>Champion plugs in a Ford!!
Please, no Autolites either! They are made by the same company as the junk Fram filters. Autolite/Fram has not been OEM for Ford since the 1950's. I had a set of Autolite platinums last half as long as Motorcraft non-platinums. Autozone carries Motorcraft. I have also had excellent service with Bosch single platinums for $2 each.
