Cool issue with running lights

My running lights on my 1997 f250 are not working. When I push on the brake pedal the running lights will come one with the brake lights. When I take my foot off of the pedal the running lights go out and stay out. No work has been done recently to any part of the truck that would touch the electric system.

Running lamps are on both the front and the rear. Are both ends of the truck equally affected?

How about the turn signals, both front and rear?

License plate lamps?

All running lights. Is it maybe the switch for the brake lights?

No.

Please clarify your response to all three of my questions.

Also, is your F250 a light duty or a super duty? The circuits are quite different.

Light duty. And the issue with running lights is affecting all running lights. Front and back.
