HELP!! Electrical problem??

I need some expert advice on an electrical problem please!! I have an 07 6.0 and lately the batt light has been coming on and off. Pretty simple thing huh, well in conjunction with the batt light I have a problem that seems to be tied in to windows, door locks, instrument cluster and radio, interior headlamp( or everything that falls under the accessory delay relay). Problem is when I accelerate, whether standstill or moving, above say 2000rpm, the accessory delay relay clicks everything off. If I'm driving I just apply brake/return motor to idle, and accessory relay clicks everything back on. This repetitive patter is like clockwork for most of driving day, other than the times when I have absolutely no problem at all for whatever reason. For recon I have tested batteries, alternator, both of which are only a few months old, and output seems strong. Truck has no weak starting or anything tied to a discharging system. Alt kicks about 16v at higher rpm and batteries are strong after day of driving. I have checked grounds frame/block, good, looked for shorts/fuse issues, all seem good. The loss of accessories seems directly related to the higher output of voltage at higher rpm???

Any ideas????????

16V is WAY too much. The HEC (Hybrid Electronic Cluster aka instrument cluster) is the computer that controls the battery saver and accessory delay relays. Perhaps the HEC has over voltage protection built into it and it's shutting stuff off to save them.

You need to get your alternator tested and probably replaced, unless you know of an alternator rebuilder that could replace just the voltage regulator. There is a good chance that overcharging is toasting your batteries as well, so you should have them individually tested also.

Highest should never be more than 14.7v ...usually 13.6 or so.

Solved.

It was alternator related but when replacing alt I found the alt plug had 2 worn bare spots in wires right behind plug that were touching. The great thing is this board helped me fix my elec problem but then 2 days later my truck was stolen and found completely stripped on blocks the same day.....!!!!
