Godsmack your head off

no the title of the topic isnt a threat...
its a promise! just kidding.

i just got done watching Godsmack on Jay Leno/tonight show...

reminded me of the time i saw them live at X-fest '99 ( HUGE concert in wisconsin every year- 20 -30 bands 3 days of chaos for a tiny city called Somerset )

they ROCKED !!! EVERYONE in the audience sang every word to every song they played. they sang it at the top of their lungs... the audience all seemed as if one person instead of 30,000 people... nevermind standing in the rain for 10 hours, it ROCKED!!! i truely think they are one of my top 5 live shows...

has anyone else seen Godsmack live? im going to Xfest again this memorial day weekend, and to the Summer Sanitarium Tour. im getting really pumped fo both, especially since ive seen a MTV show based off Linkin Park video footage and they seem to get the croud going... they are going to be at the Summer Sanitarium Tour, along with Metallica i cant wait to see it

What's a Godsmack? Can you name something they did that a pasty whiteboy might know? I'm afraid I'd be that one in 30,000 that don't know any of their tunes.

Now play some Merl, Hank Jr., Salene Dion, Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, and so on.

GODSMACK RULES. I am also hoping to hit the sanitarium tour sometime this summer. My wife thinks I'm nuts, most of the other concert goers think so to, but what the hell I have fun. BTW I am 40 and bald, not exactly what you expect to see there.

I saw Godsmack, or as I call them "Dogsnack",a couple years ago.It was a great show they had stained, open up for them.

My favorite band to see live is metallica, Checked them out 3 times now. I am not impressed with metallica's new music though,Lately their name should be "alternica". Give me some more master of puppets or kill em all, or justice, type albums and I will be happy.

The song by Godsmack that the most people have probably heard is off of the "Scorpion King" soundtrack. The song is called "I stand alone".

Another song that alot of people have heard is called "Voodo"

I would love to go to X-fest this year but I am working. Looks like a great lineup though.

It also looks like they are going to let Manson play in Flowrite park(I think that is what it is called) this year for Ozzfest.

Godsmack is the best! I had tickets to go see Disturbed and Chevelle in the music as a weapon tour yesterday in OKC but my POS truck is broke down. I'm sure I missed a great show.

Did Garth do the lead on that? If not I most likely haven't heard that version

Godsmack does put on one heck of a show, along with Metallica and Pink Floyd being up there also. But I have to say, the best concerts I have been to have been Garth Brooks' shows. I have been to 3 at Texas Stadium, and 2 here in Atlanta. The man does know how to entertain.

My wife thinks I'm nuts just because I have burned CD's that have Godsmack and Hank Williams SR on the same disc...

Arrow Godsmack your head off

I saw Godsmack at OZZFest (Crapfest?) a few years back - I wasn't too impressed (then again, I can't stand them.)

If you want to see a rockin' show, check out Arch Enemy, Opeth, or Cannibal Corpse.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Godsmack show, though!

EDIT: Oh yeah, Marilyn Manson and Zakk Wydle (Black Label Society) - great shows!

I saw them a few years back when they first got big at the WHFestival in DC. I think I was one of the few people who knew who they were at the time. and they are pretty damn good
