1949 Ford F1

Hey guys, I have a 1949 Ford F1 and was wondering what the difference was between it and a 1949 F100?

Thanks, that explaines a lot. Just decided to start fixing up the old truck and it's some work. I was staring to wonder if any F100 body parts would fit on the F1 becasue they don't have a lot of parts for the F1. I guess i should start attaching some pic's of what I got going on and let it tell a story. Might be a long story!

Hey Oscar,
Welcome to a fellow Texan! There are quite a few of us on here so load up those pics & let's see what you are working on. I've got a 1950 F1 - I think you will find quite a few parts available - not quite as popular as the 1953 & up trucks but not bad.

Welcome to FTE! You can find just about everything you need for an F-1. All the F-1s from 48-50 were the same so all the parts interchange. Also, many parts from the 51-52 F-1s also fit the 48-50. What are you looking for that you haven't found?

Welcome Marcus!

Congrats on the new old truck!

You'll likely do better with intros on a new thread - but you can still use the instructions from Arctic to post pics. We do like the pics so don't be shy.
