2002 explorer 4.0 sohc engine bad

2002 explorer 4.0 sohc engine bad
I have got a 2002 ford explorer in great shape with a engine with a rod sticking out the side. And i have a 1999 f150 with a 4.2 engine and the truck is wrecked but has a very good motor in it. Is it possible to swap these motors fairly easy or should i look to different means of doing it? Thanks for any help
