Anyone know if Excursion seats will have the same "bolt pattern" as the F series?

I see no problem. The mounting method you described is how the Excursion captains are. Super Duty rear captains are mounted with 4 bolts per seat to a single base which then uses the same 4 mounting points as the bench seat. So, it would be a direct swap with no modifications.

MY03 offered rear captains in Lariat LE, King Ranch and Centennial Edition trim levels.

Rear captains were introduced in the MY00 Lariat LE...

BTW... Good advice on the Torx Plus bits. They can really save one from alot of grief when it comes to things like seat mounting bolts and seatbelt bolts...

Had them in my '00 Lariat LE and found them quite useless. Looked alright though. I much prefer the FlexFold bench that I have in the '04. So does the dog...

Why would you want to pull your carpet?

You'll be looking for nothing. Refer back to my first answer in this post.

No, just Super Duty. Excursion captains use 4 mounting points per seat to the floor which will not work in a Super Duty. Super Duty captains are both mounted to a single base/support first, which then is mounted to the floor using the same 4 mounting points as the bench seat

MY's '00, '01, and '02 only offered rear captains on the F-350 Lariat LE trim level. You had a choice between front captains and rear bench or quad captains. See the attached PDF for MY02 example...
