Sensor Diagnosis
All . . . . . A recient post detailed engine failure of a DuraMax. The Chevy tech and engineers said the problem was with the high pressure fuel pump. The pump was replaced but it was not the problem. The problem was with a failed vacumm sensor in the fuel pressure line.
How are these sensors diagnoised? Are they easy to replace? Where are they located? Is there a list of the sensors that can shut down the F- 350?
Replacing a sensor would be a lot cheaper and easier than replacing a HPFP.
