After the expensive year I've had, I've vowed to take extra good care of my truck. So, seeing as I've always had very low maintenance vehicles, I'm a little green when it comes to knowing what to look for/check on a regular basis.
What do you do to make sure your vehicle doesn't crap out? Or at least identify that it will be having a problem? I do regular oil changes, but that's pretty much the extent of it.
For a refresher on what I've done in the last 10 months, truck currently has just over 87,000 miles on it:
- New plugs at around 85,000 miles (misdiagnosed issue by dealer)
- New breaks
- Engine repair right after that (broken camshaft)
- Replaced electronic throttle body
- Four new tires
- Rebuilt transmission
Obviously it's been expensive. I'm not sure what I could have done to avoid any of it, but if you have tips, I'll take them!
