Hey All; I'm working on a 1964 f-100 styleside shortbed. I'm in question on how one goes about frenching the taillights on a 64. Is it to much to change to the round tailights of earlier years or maybe some of the new carbon fiber styles of the newer Ford's?? Any ideas comments advise or otherwise would be deeply appreciated. I'm fairly new to body work besides repair on some rust and small dents.
Please Help.
Funny thing is, I was thinking about doing something similar on my 64. I ended up not having the nerve to cut up my good bed. I was gonna try a later model light assm. and put the whole thing in. I was looking at Ranger and Dakota lights as being relitively close to working, but of course you'd need the surrounding sheetmetal too. It's got to be something with a little curve on the ourside edge so it blends well with the 64 bedside.
Have fun,
