Whatever the pressure is when the key is on, the same pressure should hold for a minimum of 30 minutes after the key is turned off.
OK...
Relieved the pressure to get it all hooked up.
Started at 40 PSI with just the key on, and it almost immediately began to drop with the key off. I left it for awhile because I got busy with something else, but it seemed like it finally settled at 20 PSI when I put everything back together.
No there isn't, but I recommend that you only buy new and not those reconditioned ones. Alls reconditioned means is that they've cleaned them out and installed new o-rings. You can do that with your own if you wanted to.
Thanks!!! Is there a way to determine the problem injector
With the engine cold, turn the key on, then off to pressurize the fuel system and cause a fresh leak at the injector. Now quickly, before the fuel can evaporate, remove the injectors one at a time and replace any that are wet underneath.
WARNING: Do not turn the key on once you unbolt the fuel rail. The pressure can cause the injectors to be blown out of the fuel rail.
Cleaning them is a crap shoot. You can go through the expense of having them cleaned and flow tested only to find that there's a bad one that needs to be replaced, or you can find that they're all perfect. You'll never know until after the work is done.
Well, the injectors that I got were too short and would not allow me to reconnect the fuel rail. So, I swished the old ones in some Berryman B-12 and put on new o-rings and stuck em back from whence they came. I guess I will take it in and let someone look at it to determine what the problem is for sure before I decide to do anything else.
I did notice this morning when I went out to start, I attempted to relieve the pressue on the fuel rail and nothing sprayed out at all. Is it normal for there to be 0 fuel pressure after sitting over night?
