I've never tried either but heard good about rev-x,and not good about hot shots but I'm news if you post a new thread on one of the diesel forums you should get good feed back

 

I have never used hot shots, a buddy of mine does and he likes it, I used Rev -X and I will never use anything else. I'm telling you my truck runs great!!

 

Just an update because I run into so many threads without one.

I purchased AE and it turned out to be injector #6 I replaced it and no smoke. Also replaced fuel and oil filters (motorcraft) and oil (Rotela -T 15-40). I also bought some Rev-ex and gonna put that in for precautionary measures. Injector came from the ford dealer.

For those new to this, it did not smoke on start up nor 5 min idle but smoked like crazy for about 10 min after warm up while driving, then cleared up.

It took so long because I was waiting for my bonus.

I ended up doing my #2 and the sleeve, runs great now. Glad to hear you got it fixed. Fun huh? Lol

 

Yeah, lots of fun but not to bad thx to FTE.
So yours wasn't just sticktionWhat happened? Did you start seeing symptoms aftrev-x?
