As of December 2002..... Ford made changes to the 6.0...with no notice to customers who already ordered...

- dual sunvisors.......DELETE...


-door entry illumination "light" DELETE..now just a CHEAP..REFLECTOR..WHAT THE SH@#$@!!!!


Does anyone know if the wiring is in the door?? merely needs the bulb assembly?????

They did the same thing with the Escape in December (deleted a bunch of stuff that had previously been part of the limited package).
I don't have a problem with them making changes but I wish they'd offer me the option of paying extra for the equipment instead of deleting it, thereby making it unavailable.

 

Many people with January and February built trucks have the dual sunvisors. Ford may have deleted it, but they apparently had quite a few left in the parts bin.

If you are looking at one on the lot, it probably still has both options.

 

Guys, Ford posts these changes to there order guides. Every dealer and salesman has access to them and so does most of the general public. If you had a truck on order and something was deleted before delivery, I would first be upset with the salesman for not confirming the order with the changes.

If the delete items are a deal breaker, tell the salesman.

Roy is correct. I learned about the comming changes to the Escape from the Internet before they were implemented and bought one in November to avoid the deletes.

 

Does anyone know if the wiring is in the door for the lights that are now just reflectors??
I took the reflector plate off and the hole is there for the bulb assembly..would the wiring be in the door??

How much would 2 wiring harnesses be to hook it back up???
