To my knowledge, nobody has found anything in the aftermarket made for the pre-1987 models, adaptation has been necessary.

I found this stuff called bondo hair it works just like bondo but has fiberglass in it. it is way easier to work with than fiber glass. I will post a picture when i get it done

I have been wanting to do this same thing too....I believe the 87-96 pillar pods will work, but I'm not sure if they have the single screw in the middle like the 80-86 trim pieces they replace. Like ctubutis said, you might have to get creative to make it stay. If that pillar pod doesn't have a hole for the mounting screw you could always drill out a hole or two in each end and put some in yourself and it'd hold it fine.

Then again on the other hand, I'm thinking of relocating my wiper and headlight switches and making that area (as well as the cubby hole area on the other side of the column, on the same bezel) into a place to put all my gauges....I have two autometers stuck in the cubby hole and it looks pretty good, for what it is
