Dually Expedition

Heay guys I got a `02 expedition with the 5.4 and it`s got 275k miles so I know its not gonna last a whole lot longer. So I`ve decided that when it goes out I`m gonna build the first dualy expedition with a cummins (I`m saying the first cause I have been looking online and can`t find anything anywhere where one has been done). But I was wondering if the dually rear end would fit or would I have to cut the fender-wells out and build them back. If anyone has any advice on this or have heard of it befor let me know. I`m going to do it no matter what and I could use all the help I could get on this monster project. Thanks for any help guys.

I knew some guys in Miami that made an early Bronco into a dually, both front and rear! It was definately an attention getter on Calle Ocho and at car shows.
I think that you can and should do it if that's what you want. If I were you I would look for a rear end from an F250 and the fender flares, you will likely have to open the stock rear quarter panels to clear the tires as well as convert the Expedition from coils to leaf springs to use the F250 rear end.
Good luck with it and keep us posted on your progress and take pics, lot of pics as you go along with the project.

I know it will be a time consuming task but thats why I`m waiting till income tax time where I can get a small car while I fix up my expedition. But thanks for the advice. That was more or less what I was thinking about with the F250 rearend, but any takers on the cummins swap to finish the build.
