Thought I would pipe in and give y'all an update on my R4-S pads on my Super duty.
15,000 miles now and the pads are still over 3/4 thickness. Rotors are like brand new with no ridges grooves or visible wear.
Now pulling a 28ft car hauler with living quarters about 10,000 pounds
Exiting the interstate is drama free and the truck stops quickly (yes I have a brake crontroller, it's the law)
ice cold mornings empty truck stops 1st time everytime. Summer heat and coming down big hills pulling trailer stops better than some cars.
dusting of wheels is hardly noticable and I barely wash my truck every 3 months or so. ( I think).
Bottom line Porterfield R4-S pads on my truck are the best pads ever.
FWIW, I'm still impressed with my NAPA ceramic pads and NAPA replacement rotors. I've got about 60K on them and it stops better than anything else I drive.

I have the NAPA Ceramix pads on the shelf. May do a 4 wheel brake job this Saturday. They're not do much good in the boxes.
I talked to Wendy the sale rep. She was able to field all my questions about operating temps and fade dusting cold friction coefficient etc.
anything way out there she grabbed the engineer that designed them and by then I was sold.
Getting ready to put them on wife's mini cooper S . and maybe order some special made ones for my shifter kart once I get some data as to brake temps for sprint racing.
