351m weight

i have a 81 ford f250. it has a 351m in it. im wondering if anybody knows the weight of this engine. reason i ask is because im rebuilding the engine and i want to buy an engine stand for it dont know how much i should spend on a stand.

In the 335 forum's sticky are two links to archives of Bubba's site, this is the best source if Internet-based information on the M-blocks that I'm aware of.

If I recall correctly, a dressed 400 weighs somewhere in the range of 560 lbs. That's give or take 30 pounds or so. So a 1lb engine stand should do you wonders.
