I am now hooking up the main harness, and plan on ditching the TAB and TAD solenoids and valves, since I am not running an air pump and cats. I only plan on using the BAP sensor, EGR vacuum reg, and PCV valve. I am assuming this will be ok since these items do not give signal to the computer. I have read through Donald Haulsee's article on this conversion, if anyone knows his user id, let me know so I can email him. He may know if this will still work.
I don't know his id but I know you can eliminate those without any problem. We did it all the time when I was into the 5.0 Mustangs. Just make sure you plug the vacuum lines going to them and you'll be fine.
Ryan, Thanks...that's an informative site you've started there!
I've yanked A Speed Density SEFI 5.0L + AOD out of an '86 Lincoln MarkVII.
I understand it's not the best choice but it fell in my lap and owes me nothing at this point... I've already dropped it into my '53 Mercury M100.
Any comments or suggestions?
