I was all gung ho about an overhead monitor or dvd players in the headrests but 2 head rest dvd players (matched material) were going to cost me roughly $1500. 2 refurb 1st gen iPads, $800... The tablets can go with 'em anywhere. Plus I can fire up the hot spot app on my phone and everyone has the internet available to them (think Netflix library!). I'm no Apple fan (have a Xoom myself) but you gotta give them props when my 22 month old daughter knows how to unlock the screen, fire up the video app and pick what cartoon she wants to watch.
Having 4 kids myself, I can say with 99.9% accuracy that no 2 children are satisfied with watching the same thing.
headrest monitors suck to many issues. if the seat is reclined the viewing angle is jacked. if your seats are leather the leather expands and pulls out of the side of the tv when it's hot.
IMO an LCD computer monitors is the best thing especially if you have a rail on your ceiling.

yea a good ceiling monitor will room you about 150 and it small where you can pick up a nice size LCD pc monitor and run that. it has a better pixel and cheaper and bigger... only issue is it isn't as easy to set up

So if I took it to like a top notch shop they would beable to handle it then huh? U have one in your rig?
prolly but they won't recommend a pc monitor. And no this truck is bone stock for now, I have a wedding coming up and hours have been cut at work so i am piecing it as I get free parts here and there.
anyway hopefully if my 24 isn't busy tomorrow I will hook up my ps3 to my 15" LCD "via a dvi to hdmi cable" which is your video then I will plug in the standard cable in to the ps3 and use the red and white RCA's for audio and run those to my aux input on my stereo...
Power:
I have a power inverter I "borrowed" from my dad so I'll plug the ps3 and the LCD in that and plug my sprint hotspot up to my ps3 so I can play COD anywhere I go.
If you like I'll post pics of the LCD you can see if you like my mock up setup .
I can then decide where I wanna mount everything in the future.
