Torque converter question
I think I have a bad torque converter.. A while back I parked my 88 f150 because all it would do is grind when I put it in gear. then I needed to move the truck and just for the heck I started the truck and put it in gear, it actually went in gear in moved...
Knowing something is wrong I decided to look. I thought I may have broken a flexplate. Not the case it is fine. But when I examined the converter after draining it there is some of the inert parts(they are together) moving freely
Are these insided(the guts) supposed to be that loose?? If i tilt the converter the parts will lean one way but stay centered..
I know it is the click and clack talk but I cannot think of a better way to explain...
