Your "reputation" is indicated by green bars on the right side under your location and post count
Instead of making several posts to reply to people, you can do a multi-quote. Try it out. Press the button next to quote that look like two pieces of paper with a plus sign on each of the people you want to reply to. Then go to the "Post Reply" button.

How do you know when someone gives you reps so you can thank them? I noticed a lot of "thanks for the reps" in members visitor messages.

Check your "User CP" your rep points will be shown at the bottom!

Its kind of like a status symbol. The more reps someone has, the more helpful they have been, and therefor are seen as a good person in the community here.

I just watch to make sure its done right. They go by whatever is on the door. I always see them check. But 150-165 is whats in the owners manual.
