Running engine without cab?
I've got the body off my 69, and for some reason, I feel compelled to fire it up.
Iv'e plumbed up the cooling, rerouting the heater hoses.
I've got 12v to the solenoid, and ground to the block.
I'm running an MSD 6AL and it has the primary 12V hooked up.
I guess there is another 12V input to the MSD that would have come from the ignition, so I'll give that 12v.
On the solenoid does the "S" get the sustained 12v? And the "I" get the 12V to trigger the starter? Or is it the other way?
Anything else I'm missing?
In a strange way, it's a beautiful thing.
Here is a short video. It's a quicktime, so it's kinda big and the audio leaves something to be desired. But it's cool anyway.

The engine looks cool, but it sounds like something is wrong, or is that just because of the quality of the video?
Don't forget to open the door, if your running it for a while or you might get light headed
It sounds better in person. There are some leaks at the headers/head interface. The mufflers are a bit too quiet, leaving much of the sound coming from the engine/headers area. The microphone in the camera is not so good.
I may change the heads to Edelbrock AL and the exhaust here shortly since the body is off.
I've already got the prothane body mounts and bushing kit, although my cab mount bushings don't look so bad.
It's a digital camera that can shoot short quicktime movies.
The still shots on this thing are incredible.
