Cool Transmission Problems?

I was doing a lot of around town driving yesterday, and when I was leaving my last stop my Bronco was driving very sluggish? After checking some things out I found out that when its was in drive it was stuck in 3rd gear. I could down shift into 2nd, but not 1st.?
Today I checked over a few things, fluid level looked ok and pretty clean, then I pulled the codes and got:
539 ?
621
622
629
626
I did some looking on the forum, and got a few ideas on what to check tomorrow, but any help would be appreciated. Going from the previous owner the truck should have 20k-25k miles on rebuild/ replace? The speedo is off by about 5mph, and its probably been that way for a long time.

95 Bronco
351, automatic
33" BFG's

I recently sent my PCM to be repaired and it fixed my transmission woes. First check battery cables and fender grounds next to the battery and by code pulling connection.

I would start with connections cleaning and dielectric grease.
1. Solenoid pack connection. Loosen the two small bolts to slide the heat shield up and back. It is at the passenger rear of the transmission. Push the tab toward the driver and pull up on the wires to get it out. Do not pry on the tab. Oops, the '95 has a different connector from my '94...just be careful.
2. Two connectors against the firewall below the master cylinder.
3. PCM Loosen the bolt and pull it loose.
4. MLPS on the driver side of the transmission.
5. Drop the pan and see what is in the bottom.
6. If not resolved install Motorcraft MLPS.
7. If not resolved, send PCM to ECMTOGO.COM
8. If not resolved, drop pan again and replace solenoid pack (you can do it).

Thanks for the suggestions. Not sure if it was the short to ground or the almost open, but I found the wire loom that comes off of the frame rail to the transmission laying on the drive shaft going to the front and it wore thru the wire.
Next question... Is that driveshaft supposed to be turning if it's in 2wd? Could explain the low mpg.

Yes, that harness is supposed to be secured to the crossmember hole with a push in. It loops rearward before coming back to the MLPS. The shorts probably put the PCM in limp home mode. After you make the repair disconnect the negative battery for about 15+ minutes to clear codes and let the computer "learn" again.

I don't think that front shaft is supposed to be turning in 2WD. Do you have automatic hubs?
