computer wiring
I have a 1990 460 EFI truck engine,running stock wiring and computer. It starts and runs. But I was informed that there was a company that made a wiring harness,that would delete most of the computer stuff,that is not needed. Like say in a 62 year old truck. If have any information please let me know. THANKS !!!

No ! Not at all. Fuel injection is great. There is a company that makes a wiring harness,that replaces the stock wiring harness with less uneeded junk attached to the computer. Making the engine swap to a older model truck less trouble.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Nov-02 AT 05:55 PM (EST)]There's no "unnecessary" stuff related to the computer - if you're putting the engine into an older truck, you need all the computer's wiring. You can delete NON-computer circuits like the power door locks, but if you delete any engine circuits (which is all the computer is for), then you've defeated the purpose of swapping an EFI into an old vehicle.
