I have an 88 f-150. When i am on the front tank the gauge reads full for a while then drops to E with a couple of gallons left but on my rear tank it works perfect, would that be a bad sending unit in the first tank or could something else be wrong? Thanks for any help.
I have the exact same problem. Didn't want to mess with droping the tank, so I run on the front tank until the gauge drops down and then switch to the rear tank until I refuel. I'll wait until the pump goes bad and then I'll replace the pump and sending unit.
