The hardtop has to be pulled off. The soft top retracts. I thought that the hardtop would be good in the winter.

It would probably be a little warmer. Winter may be a little hard on a soft top.

It would be better in the long run. I will keep looking for a used one any color since my car is white with tan interior.

I guess you could paint to match if you felt inclined to do so. With white and tan most colors would'nt look out of place.

You could always go with zebra strips or something like that as well.

It would be nice if you could rig something up to hang it from the ceiling, as long as the ceiling is high enough. Would save on space.
