Howdy folks. I am back to normal life for a few days. We got shut down from harvest because of heat. My vacation is over.

Mike, when do you need your camper in Suppertown? I am heading back up to Glyndon on Friday and can drop it off in Suppertown for you if needed.

Hey Chris!

Yeah I know along with the heat the crop around here is not real good as a far as sugar beets go.

I didn't realize heat was a problem for harvesting sugar beets.

Yeah that along with potatoes can be picky about temps when harvested.

The weather isn't a bad thing for the beets at this point but it is harvesting them that is the problem because crystal sugar can't pile them if they are too hot otherwise they will rot. You also can't lift beets when it is too cold because then they get frosty. They are a pain in the keister.

Exactly and basically the same with potatoes as far as the hot and cold goes. But the money you make off them usually tends to make the problems not so bad!

Yup. The crop is pretty pathetic this year though. It takes a round and half of a half section field to get the truck loaded when it should take 3/4 or a round.

Got the siding back on the house, now to tackle the inside.

Yeah that is also correct and don't forget to turn that valve down there also!
I plan to forgo the antifreeze this year as well.

Thanks for the offer Chris. I am going to borrow a truck from my FIL, so we should be OK. Going up Friday afternoon, hope to leave here by 4.
