I'm going to be patching a few spot in my floorpans of my 68 cab. Does anyone know off hand what gauge of steel these are. I'm planning on getting some stock to make the patches with.
FYI: You may want to look at another Ford truck, floor pans are the same from 65 to 79 with 4" lip added to the rear in 73 behind rear cab mount.
Beats having to bend & mold new metal. IMHO
I was parting out a 76 parked beside a 66 and started noticing how much the same they looked, so I whipped out the ol 25' tape measure and measured it every way possible, finding it was the same.
Well, finally just cut out one of the small areas that I'm going to be patching. Looks to be 20 gauge, according to my sheet metal gauge, so I'm off to get a piece.
