I finally took the bronco in to get some codes, it turns out I only got 1 code which was 63 and they told me that the "TP Sensor circuit below minumum voltage" does that mean I have to change the TPS? ($28.99) or does it mean there is an electrical problem?
thanks for all your help.
RedEB, that is indeed the cause of a code 63. Are you having drivability problems? A few of those TPS's were adjustable, so check yours to see if it adjusts when the screws are loosened.
You can also check the TPS output with a voltmeter, if you want to go to the trouble. But after 15 or so years, it probably needs replacing, and will probably run a lot better with a new one......
do you really have to pull the damn TB off to get to the TPS? this is messed up, I have 1 more bolt to go and I'm there and it is stripped which = stress on me. this should only be a 30 minute job errr
