What a way to start a weekend!
So I get a call from my neighbor that my car has been hit by someone. Cops were called and all is being taken care of. The story I recieved was that the driver swerved to avoid another car and just slammed into my car. Possible? Yes. My thoughts...cell phone texting. No visible skid marks. Oh well at least no one was hurt. Not expecting to come home from work to this. I rarely drive my truck to work but this week I drove it a lot. Should have driven the car!!! This car was saving sooo much mileage and fuel money!!! I'm imagining they'll total it because of what the car is worth vs. the amount to repair. I need a longer driveway!!!

OUCH! Well, no one hurt, so all in all, much opportunity for the weekend to improve.
We just had a situation where a lady drifted off the road and killed a jogger running 8' off the shoulder of the road. Her defense? "Sun in her eyes". Huh? The road runs north-south... But little facts like that seem to be ignored and it appears she will get away with it. Personally, I say pull all cell phone records and if she was texting or talking, that is involuntary manslaughter at least. 2nd degree murder seems even more appropriate to me as she CHOSE to ignore her responsibility to drive.

I think I'll be lucky to get $4k from this, hardly enough to buy a mustang, unless from 1992, let alone anything else. This impala was actually a really good car. We'll have to see what the assessment gives me.
