Just the 3.7 with 305 hp would be plenty in the Escape and would easily keep up, if not be quicker, than the F-150 Ecoboost. Those extra 1500-2000 lbs in the F150 make a lot of difference.
2013 Escape will be all new, with choice of a 2.5 NA standard, 1.6 & 2.0 Ecoboost engines will be optional. This will be revealed at the LA auto show in a month.
