Good Morning Everybody!
Rich, it's not hard to start when it's hot, the starter gets heat soaked and seizes. ...not even a click when you turn the key. After I re-did everything, just bump the key and it lights right off now. With the huge cooling system, it runs a steady 185-190 degrees. It's all good, but it was a heck of a way to get here. All I have to do now is come up with a better way to mount the radio.

Morning all, any got a clutch adjustment rod for a 77 F150 4sp laying around? I got the guy all the rest of the stuff he needed just can't find a adj rod ???
Chip a "form" for future customers to sign, sounds like a great idea for Alan to have. Especially when they want him to us inferior paint supplies right?

I shoulda got it signed by the buddy I did the Jeep for, he has yet to produce the cabinets for our bathroom I was promised in exchange for painting the Jeep. He ducks my calls and when I show up at his brother's cabinet shop, he's never there..in spite of his daily driver and the shop truck being there. No more trade deals unless I sit on the vehicle til the other half of the agreement is satisfied. I heard he's gotten two best paint trophies with it this summer.
I personally would love to go to the cabinet shop and stir up a bunch of stuff for you, that could be FUN. Me and Unk Bob could go do it, oh I would really enjoy that .
I mean, be a man and stand up for your word, or take what you have coming to you. I wonder if the jeep has full coverage insurance?
The evil side of my brain just went into overdrive.......I'm just saying.
Ol #88 sale just canceled......

Durn on the sale of Ol #88.
I figure I'll move on and if he somehow comes through, I'll be good. if not, I have another friend who builds custom cabinets and has offered to do a set to my wife's specs. i'm just scurred of what it'll cost, in my opinion, his work belongs in a magazine. I just learned from this experience. He don't get a second chance to burn me.

Chip you give up way to easy on that bum. I would be a PITA, just to prove a point that you should not do real friends that way. Usually real friends know a little more about you than you really want, when push comes to shove.
I would love to see this guy and his pile of cheep at a car show, I would be a royal JA, and be laughing all the time.

Rich, I'm kind of with Chip on this one. Yes, it sucks and it's frustrating, but the up side is, Chip never has to work on, or deal with this guy's stuff ever again. He's sure not going to ask Chip for another paint job. A trade I did went the same way. I was too busy to work on his stuff until he dropped off what he was supposed to and paid cash for the next job.
As much as I would want to, being difficult with the guy isn't the answer.
