Front Brake Pad Clips

Does anyone else have a continuing problem with the front brake pad antirattle clips? Mine keep bending or rusting and prevent the pats from retracting. I live in a high salt area but still I shouldnt have all the problems I do.

When installing are you using synthetic high-temp brake caliper grease (such as this), some other form of lubrication, or nothing at all? If you are not already, I'd suggest you go with a grease designed for use on brake parts and see if the issues go away. I've not had such problems and here in Iowa salt is also used on the roads in the winter.
