I hate posting problems. I'd rather read about others who have them...
My truck has developed a hesitation/miss/stumble/whatever....
I changed the fuel filter and that helped tremendously. I also threw in some Chevron fuel injector cleaner and am almost through the tank of (treated) fuel.
Now the hesitation only happens when I am going up a hill, in OD and turning about 1300-1500 RPM. If I mash the pedal (without downshifting) it'll buck and bitch until either:
1. The hill ends.
2. It downshifts.
I cannot reproduce it anywhere else but on a hill.
Hi Ken, You have already fixed the first thing that came to mine, the fuel filter. Maybe the fuel pump taking a dump, but that usally just quits. Its sounds like it`s starving for gass. Still thinking
Check the coils, Vac hoses, fuel pressure. Ken, if you can re-create this scenario on demand I'd take your service tech for a ride, letting him know that you didn't have this problem b4 the wreck.
Exhaust restriction ? Impact of the accident bend/kink a exhaust pipe, or knock a baffle loose in the cat or muffler. Slide underneath and kick the cat and muffler and see if anything rattles. Yes......I know it's a long shot.

Did they do any welding on your X at the body shop?I am a welder and i have been tought in the past to disconnect the battery and sometimes unplug the computer. They may not of done this and possably ginzed your computer or mass flow meter.Just a thought.Hope this helps.
My mustang stumbled going around turns with less than 1/4 tank of gas. It turned out to be the baffle in the gas tank. You could hear it rattling when you rocked the car.
save your old coil pack, they are about $70 and it may jsut be a bad boot ($10), took me a month to figure that one out, no thanks to the local dealerships.
