Wow this topic took off! Do you guys think it is a good idea to monitor fuel pressure all the time, hpop if you are running stock injectors but maybe a 6 pos? Just curious. Also do you recomend taping manifold or just up pipe for pyro?
Careful not to leave any metal filings in the pipe, don't want those going through the Turbo and engine. I had my truck running when I drilled mine to help blow them out.

Fuel pressure yes. Low or inconsistent fuel pressure is going to cause problems.
There is absolutely no need to freak out about a few metal filings in the manifold when doing a pyro. What filings do stay in the manifold are very, very minimal, very small, and they will just get spit out the exhaust. There isn't much of a chance of one of those tiny little shavings doing any damage to the exhaust turbine whatsoever.
Is it sensible to get pyro, EGT, and boost or just one of those temps, boost, and maybe oil temp or fuel psi or something? Also, is there a difference in quality between mechanical and electrical boost?

Reason: Answered part of my question...

Pyro and EGT are the same thing my man For your truck I'd get pyro, boost, and fuel PSI. Some guys like an oil temp gauge, or a water temp gauge, but at least pyro and boost.

I guess I'm thinking pre and post turbo temps. Does anyone ever do that or would there even be any good reason to do so? I guess you would expect them to be pretty consistenly varied from one another huh
Cool info! On my 92 cummins i am post turbo, they say its about 200 cooler than pre. I just keep an eye on it never getting over 1200 for very long. Yea i was thinking pyro, boost and fuel should be all im gonna need. I am hoping to get a 6 pos in the near future, but that will be it i think. Maybe stage 1s and a upgrade for the hpop. But for now just gauges and 3 in DP. How about fuel system, am i gonna wanna go elec if i do start giving more fuel to it. Also interested in fuel bowl delete.
Ok well i guess my next question is, is it worth the money and work to go elec for what my goals are. Like i said earlier nothing crazy just more fuel and mayber stage 1s or 2s idk yet.

There's no need for a post turbo pyro unless you want one just for chits and giggles.
