I got a new to me dashpad (thanks to Ian) to replace my cracked up pos. My truck used to have to sit outside for many years, thus the cracks. Now I have a shed to park it in so I wanted to replace it. Anyway, of course, my dash is faded and the pad is darker (matches the door panel nice). Anybody think I could paint it with a plastic paint after a good cleaning? Can I remove the plastic dash or would I have to tape it off and paint it in the truck? Other ideas? It's not that bad, but just looking for options if I have any.

Not sure Darin
You would think that with the right preplastic paint prep you could do it. Good question
Can anyone tell me if the plastic dash comes out so I can paint it or if I have to do it in the truck? I assume it does, but don't really want to tear the whole truck apart figuring out how to. Or if it does take that much work, I'd probably paint it in the truck.
I really need a windshield too, I think I'll check around and see if someone will come and remove my old one, let me do my dash work, then come back and install the new one.
Unless someone has a good way to remove the old one, maybe I'd do that then I know I could get a glass company to come over and professionally install the new one.

Be ready for new clips for the trim. They are usually rusted pretty bad. There is also a good chance that there is cab rust there. I was going to do mine but since the cost was not to bad for the install I let a shop do it with a stipulation that when the old window was removed, they called me to come inspect it. Glad I did, We discussed repair methods to include what sort of rust inhibitor sealer to use. They only used a specific type that would not cause the lip sealer to degrade. I had two clips that were replaced at the top center.
