Does anyone have any information on the diesel ford offered in the early rangers.
I have procured a 2.3 turbo diesel out of a 85. I would be interested in any parts, suggestions, or information.

By the way it's going into my 83 ranger, 4x4.

 

That motor you have is a mitsibishi turbo diesel.86 hp. same motor in the ram 50's for a few years. If you run by some parts for an 84 , 2.2 ranger diesel , drop me a line.

recently located a salvage yard with an old ranger in it. the guy who knows about it is on vacation, he will be back next week. I should know more about it on wed. the guys there didn't know much about it, and wouldn't let me see it(insurance regulations). I'm going to pick it up either way, as long as they don't whant a million for it. if it's a 2.2 i'll let you know.
