Replaced injector #8 and I still have a low circuit and contribution codes. Truck runs better but it still has a miss. What else could cause it. I know the new injector is good. Could it be the FICM or the wire harness. Looking for a direction to go. What should I check next.
Thanks for the part number. Going to do some testing sometime this week and try to figure it out.
You might pull the harness out, strip off the convolute tubing, check all the wiring for chaffe's, and the plugs for bent pins. It's not shielded so unless it's broken internally you should be able to repair it. Also, check the FICM and FICM plugs for bent pins. The FICM guide posted in the tech folder can point you to which plug controls which injectors. Since #8 is right under the FICM I'm thinking a wire got FUBAR'd somewhere in that process, at least that's where I'd start.
I got it fixed. It was the FICM wire harness. Got a new one from Tousley Ford and swapped it out tonight. The truck runs great. I probably did not even need to replace the injector but o well. At least I know how to replace it now. Thanks everyone for all of the input and suggestions. You guys rock!
