E150: windshield draining onto the engine!
A question for Econoline owners. I have a '93 E150, and have noticed that the windshield drainage is poorly designed. When parked, a portion of the rainwater draining from the windshield drips down onto the belts and pulleys (which always end up squeaking), and sometimes onto electrical connections. I have carefully cleaned what is supposed to serve as the drainage channel and have sealed some of the bolt holes along the channel, but there appears to be no place on it actually designed to drain the water away. I am getting ready to shore up the edge of the channel and put in some holes or fittings where I want it to drain. But I thought I'd first ask if anyone else has had this problem and what steps worked to fix it.
