I just started using Amsoil 15w40 Syn. Have 14k miles on the engine since delivery on Jan 2, 03. I have used the Ford oil up to this point.

How long between oil changes on synthetic oil will you run 10000 kms or still 7,000 kms. as per owners manuel. I change now every 5,000 kms makes it easy to keep track of. I use regular diesel 15/40 oil not synthetic

I have been think about using synthetic oil in my unit. I have been using Synthetic in my wifes VW Jetta diesel for 125,000 kms. and VW recomended it.

I have been using Amsoil 15w40 in my 2000 7.3 PS (100,000 miles on odometer at present ) regularly. Oil & Filter changes at 10K miles is the intervel I try to stick to. Will probably do the same on my 03 F350 6.0L PS.
