2006 E250 will not go into third gear

2006 E250 will not go into third gear
This is my first time on this site, Thanks everyone for your help.
I have no idea why it will not go into third, I am wondering if my problem is a sensor, control or the transmission. The data plate has a "Q". MY question is if I replaced my transmission with a used one, what model will work, like a F150 with "Q" on the door jam or a Crown Vic
