No, it's not that plug. It's located on the backside near the firewall. Thanks though. I appreciate your quick response.

Can you describe where it is on that picture as that is a backside view of the motor with no turbo or turbo pedestal on it.

After researching through some of the other posts on oil leaks, I found a post about Galley Plugs. I think this is what I've been trying to describe. Any information on how to fix a leak when it is coming from the galley posts would be much appreciated. Thanx.

I have no experience in changing one other than watching after one was started. The one I saw was where he cut through the Driverside and then used a box end ratchet to remove it. I have heard not to use the multi notch on there since it can slip and gnarl the ends.

But maybe this bump will get another to chime in on it since it seems like the driverside is the one that leaks most. I have read where a sharp chisel was used to gouge it then a blunt one to spin it. Also there are cleareance issues and its my understanding that you dont want to set the plugg too deep either when installing the new one.

Where is the help when you need it. Sorry thats about all I have on it being since I was late to the gate with my help the last time or I would have more info.

Alright who is gonna chime in here. Now back to the chicken and ribs. :0)

I will check back later.

Does this mean if it is leaking there it definitely needs to be replaced? Is there a gasket or something there? I called Checkers and asked how much a "galley plug" was and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Thanks for your message to catch my attention. I have been all over the internet trying to find some answers.

That is the plug I was talking about. You'll need to get the oring/plug from ford or ih I think. Maybe bob at dieselorings.com has it, you can check.

Thanks for your help. Sorry it took me so long. I'm new at this and was looking at a picture someone else posted above you.
