The ones I posted would go in the valve at the bottom of the tank, on the inlet (inside the tank. A lot of tanks don't have the valve anymore, but they would also fit in an elbow. Motorcycles generally didn't have actual filters anywhere in the system, just these screens on the inlet of the pet*****.
