Surprized nobody has said "Sniff it to get high".

Used it on the bed frame to stop it from squeaking. Worked for a couple days. Use it mostly as a torch and to clean things.

Nice thing about it. It comes with a straw

WD-40 the Shout of the mechanics world.

Ever got that nasty little brake fluid or oil stain on a good shirt? I always forget to place the oil filler cap out of my way and end up with a circle on my shirt as I reach to put oil in.

Shout won't touch it, Spray-N-Wash runs away from it.

Spray alittle WD-40 on it, wash it, and Kaboom, no more stain. Works great.

I keep several cans, garage, truck, and above the washer/dryer.

Talking Stupid WD-40 tricks...

The "oil stain removal" use is interesting - I'll have to try that.

Let's hear some more!

Also works well on squeeky belts....better than belt dressing.
Yes I know you shouldnt put oil on belts but it cleans the belt and pullies and usually stops the squeek.
You can dry out a wet distributor cap with it too.
Start a diesel engine with it instead of ether.
Lube window tracks.
Clean undercoat of the side of a vehicle.
It works well for removing rubber tire "donuts" from the side of the race car.
I use lots of it at work for cleaning my hands in between jobs.
Apparently brake cleaner isnt good to use for cleaning your hands...it can poison you.

use the "magic spray" to melt styrofoam into a cheap napalm. Please don't try it, but remember this should someone really hack you off and you feel the need to vent . It takes alot of WD-40 so use the stuff in the bigger cans - but it is fun.

I've never bought the stuff, but I must have "inherited" at least ten or fifteen cans of it from my Mother-in-law over the years. I use it wherever or whenever I need kerosene in a spray can.

Use it to remove bumper stickers, tape residue, anything that sticks that you don't want stuck on your stuff.

I use it to spray down the plastic on my 660 Grizzly, the mud just slides off. Makes cleaning it a breeze!

Stupid WD-40 tricks...

Last year in the fall , my garagedoor was hav'n a problem with moisture on the wood doorframe and causeing the powerdoor to sense to much drag and wouldn't shut with the drive of the motor and i had to release the lock of the chain and close it manually.
The installer of the door told me to use WD40 on the wood to make it more slippery, and to help remove the moisture from the wood.
