Ok, I know I am burning up this board lately with new threads about struts, but I think I have finally narrowed down my question.
I need new shocks and want a little lift. After a lot of reading and pacing I have decided to go with Rancho. Their quickstrut "quicklift" applications are not much more than their regular shocks, so I think I am going that way. All along I have wanted about 1.5" of lift. Well the Rancho quickstrut 999910 is what is recommended to go on the 4X4 trucks and promises 2 inches of lift(more than I want). But autopartswarehouse.com shows that the 999909 quickstrut will fit the 4X4 and give 1.5" of lift, just what I want. They list the specifications on them and sure enough there is a .5 inch difference in the extended length of the two parts and a .5 inch difference in the collapsed length of the two parts. The damper travel is the same. So does anyone have any experience here with these? Anyone put on the 999910 and how much true lift did you get? If it was a little less than 2" then I might just go with them. Thanks guys
I have no experience on the quickstruts, but I'm going to get them sometimes soon. You and I are in similar boat, wanting just minimal lift just 1.5", but I probably would be ok with 2". I had great experience with Rancho 9000xl's so I'm sticking with Ranchos again.

Well I will find out if they are good I guess. I ordered a pair of rs999909 quickstruts from autopartswarehouse.com. they say it fits and the 999910 is supposed to give 2 inches of lift, and the 999909 is .5" shorter, so it shoud be 1.5" of lift. I think my front has sagged more recently so I might even get more than 1.5" of lift from where it is now. I ordered from autopartswarehouse.com. They had as good of a price as anyone. If you order from them here's a tip. I started a live chat with one of the sales reps to ask where they ship parts from. Well, the rep said that I could have 5% off I ordered right then, I said no, then they said 10% off if I ordered. So I went ahead and ordered then. Saved 40 bucks.
Subscribing. Curious to see the outcome. Please make sure to measure before and after. I usually measure from the center of the hub to the bottom of the wheel well arch. I just saw where someone measured from the bottom(lowest part) of the rim to the wheel well arch...either method takes out the tire flex, etc.
I will take measurements before and after. I will keep you posted but it will be a while. They are supposed to get here friday, but me and my fam are going to see my parents and leaving early friday afternoon, ups usually doesn't deliver til late afternoon. So, they probably won't get put on till next week. I am disappointed, I really wanted them on before this weekends trip to get some feels for how they felt on a long trip, but oh well. Autopartswarehouse.com is supposed to have 30 warehouses nationwide, well the struts shipped out of California. I saved money going with them, probably would have been 50 bucks more at least from rockauto, but I woulda had them from rock today probably. I guess I'm not in a hurry, just impatient.
