i saw this on cl F-150 250 350 Powerstroke parts, Bronco engine, Minute mount 2 setup
He says "I've got a regular cab from a 1997 f-350 power stroke diesel WITH A CLEAN TITLE. This means it is the deeper firewall cab which is required for the 7.3l engine to fit."
and it got me thinking, it seems a problem alot of guys have especially when installing a turbo or upgrading turbos is that there isnt enough room between the engine and firewall. I have no experience with this cab and have no idea how big of a difference it is, if any.
My question is would this cab be compatible with older trucks, say my 85 (body mounts, fenders, ect..)
I think it would be real nice to have more room to work in there and not to mention 12 less years of rust
i think he was smoking too much crack when he made that post.
really? ford made a different cab just for the 97 F-350 diesel??
all cabs are the same, whether the truck has a 300 six cylinder in it, or a 460, or a 7.3 diesel.
the only difference between the cabs is the wiring harness and instrument cluster.
ok that's what i thought but when i saw that i got excited. but thats good to hear the cabs are pretty much bolt on if i find a cheap newer one it would probably be easier then fixing my rust and leaks
