Brake pressure switch problem???
Hello all. I have a 95 Ranger with a brake problem. Just in front of the brake resivior there is what appears to be a pressure switch. It has 2 wires in the plug. Mine appears to have failed internally and is letting fluid leak out, just enough to keep the plug full of brake fluid (It's currently unplugged). Does anyone know what it is and what it would be under as a replacement part? I don't want to remove it untill I have something to replace it. Thanks!!!

I believe you are talking about the deactivator switch for the cruise control. If the cruise doesn't work now that it's unplugged, that's it. Just screw it out and screw the new one in. No need to bleed the brakes b/c fluid will flow out of the hole.

Well, my cruise works fine. But come to think of it, I don't use the brake to turn it off, usually the switch on the wheel. Thanks, I now know what to look for.
