Awesome thank you guys. After I finish up replacing / fixing leaf springs and a leveling kit, I'll be conquering the rest of my face lift
Thank you buddy, you've posted some very helpful tips that I'm grateful to now know.
Thanks. I post the stuff for that reason. The details are usually pretty improtant to doing the job right the first time.
As for lifting your truck, see if there are any auto/truck spring shops near you. Give them a call and see what they would charge to make you new leaf springs and also see what they would charge to re-arch yours. This is a more budget way of lifting, but it works, all you need are shocks, possibly a track bar, and new u-bolts (don't re-use the factory ones). I had a teacher in high school that did a lot of work on Jeeps. This was a really common route he would take.

I'll be doing that this weekend...well after I install some more parts Ive got a guilty pleasure for lights...I'll be sure to share tomorrow while Im doing it.
I look forward to seeing it. With any luck, I'll have my backup lights installed by the end of this weekend.... along with some new shoes to replace the worn highway terrains
I have been slow as dirt with mine. I added some extra features and a bed mounted control box. Once the backups are in, I will be able to make my light bars for the under bed rail lighting and then all I should have to do is plug it in.
Yea i plan to do bed lighting at some point myself, I've just been to caught up in headlights, lightbars, etc to worry about that small of a task. My reverse pods will be on a switch so i can turn them on when i'd like
My first bar came with a generic mount that fit my truck. Well it wasnt the mount style i wanted so I made due, until I could use its ugly style to my advantage. Planned for another bar, and made the addition to that mount.
About that rear light bar and those pods I was talking about doing. Well here they are.
I love the lighting on your truck and am completely jealous except for the one light bar that you added under the rear window.... The glare off of the rear tailgate and box is going to be annoying, I wonder if there's a good way to mount it at the top of the window just below the third brake light?????
Seriously if you turn everything on at once can you light up the sun????? Lol awesome!

Thank you, surprisingly though that bar doesnt give any glare. Ive got it about a 20 degree angle so its not shinning into the bed or directly outward. Its there really just there. I thought Id use it as a light for emergency type of situations with loading bikes in the back of my truck.
I run a motorcycle awareness group and one of the benefits for my riders is if they need or anyone else needs it, the team and I will pick up their bikes to prevent the impound fees.
