Love the Ex Garry
Need's a matching Rear Bumper though....Just my .02 (US Currency)
I just installed a pair of BoonDock Bumper's on mine & I didn't put a Winch in either, only cause i'd probably never use it but i would assume u boy's in Alaska would use the crap outta them.
My first SD had a V10, sure would've liked to try it out w/a Whipple-Charger though

I will probably use the winch more to recover others than myself, but when you have one you end up using them!
I have been debating the rear bumper... I had a painted rear bumper on my 2005 Ex, and the gravel roads sand blasted the paint right off. The chrome actually holds up better, but doesn't match the rest of the "theme". I have contemplated the RA style, but their price is a bit crazy... I also like the 08 and up rear bumpers, but have been thinking about doing my own. Maybe similar to Dubbs Excursion, but I really don't want to cut away my rear quarter-panels...
The Whipple is great , though after putting the 35's on, I can't spin the tires like before.... But she still accelerates respectably enough

My first one is very similar but was the 6.0 diesel, which was great for me when I bought it for towing my 30 ft TT in the lower 48, but when we moved to Kodiak, Alaska, the diesel didn't like the short distances. It never seemed to warm up driving the short distances, and the marine air claimed one turbo with stuck vanes. Fortunately while still under warrantee. I contemplated doing the bullet proof route, but then ran across this 2000 Ex with 70K original miles with the Whipple, and banks goodies, but also some rust from NJ for $8500!! So I sold the diesel 05 Ex with 36K original miles, paid off the 00 Ex, and paid off my 02 F350 CCSB. I kept my RA bumper from the 2005 and put the factory bumper back on. Then got the Harley Headlights and grill and header panel, and ditched the 00 lights, grill and bumper. Then ditched the sagging springs for F350 springs with add a leafs and leveling kits for a total of 5" of lift over where it was sitting! Then put the 35x12.5x16.5's from my 2002 F350. Then added some LED tail lights and we are up to where it is now.
In the garage is a pair of 2012 PF/PT mirrors still awaiting the module switch and wiring to replace the stock 00 tow mirrors. I also have a 2005 black steering wheel and air bag waiting to put in. That one is waiting me getting a new drag link and adjusting sleeve since the current one is so rusty I can't straighten out my steering wheel...
After that I hope to build a roof rack for it, but that is further down the road...
Thanks again for the compliments. I agree with you, but I am a tad partial...

Garry, I would love to see the numbers on that Whipple, how much torque and HP does it push through the V10? I would also love to see some more pictures of that black X of course, that is as good looking an X as I have seen. Once my wife sees it she is going to have a laundry list of stuff she wants done to hers.
